QA/QC Engineer - Procurement
Full Time / Permanent Position
Job Purpose
- The Procurement QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of all procurement activities and materials.
- This involves monitoring subcontractor and supplier quality systems, conducting audits, and reviewing inspection and testing records to ensure standards are maintained throughout the procurement process.
Key Accountabilities
- QMS Implementation: Assist in operating and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) according to ISO 9001 and contract specifications.
- Documentation: Develop and monitor procurement-specific procedures, work instructions, and Quality Control Plans (QCP) or Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
- Auditing: Lead internal and external audits of supplier quality systems and follow up on corrective actions.
- Technical Evaluation: Participate in the vendor qualification process, including Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs) and reviewing Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages.
- Inspection Coordination: Coordinate supplier inspections, verify raw material and product certifications, and review manufacturing data books.
- Reporting: Maintain quality KPI reporting matrices and report directly to the Project QA/QC Manager.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Instrumentation).
Certifications Required:
- Lead Auditor ISO 9001:2015
- ASNT NDT Level II (RT, UT, PT, MT)
- CSWIP 3.2
- BGas Grade 2
Experience:
- Specific Experience Required: At least 10 years of work experience in QA/QC Engineering related to EPIC projects in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Preferred Experience: 12+ years total experience, with 2+ years specifically as a Procurement QA/QC Engineer.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant industry codes and offshore project requirements.
