Job Description
Job Summary
The QC HVAC Inspector is responsible for inspection and quality control of HVAC systems to ensure proper installation, performance, and compliance with project specifications and international standards in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, and industrial facilities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Inspect HVAC installations including ducting, piping, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation systems
- Verify installation methods, materials, insulation, and supports
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, procedures, and inspection test plans (ITPs)
- Monitor testing and balancing activities of HVAC systems
- Ensure compliance with mechanical and fire safety standards
- Review HVAC shop drawings and specifications
- Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain QA/QC documentation
- Coordinate with contractors, QA/QC teams, and client representatives
Mandatory Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant inspection experience
- OR Industrial/Technical Diploma with minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of standards such as SMACNA, Uniform Mechanical Code, NFPA 90A, ASHRAE Handbooks or equivalent
- Knowledge of electrical installations and hazardous location identification in industrial environments
- Working knowledge of quality system standards and inspection methods
- Valid driving license (Mandatory)
