Role Overview:
Orbit International Survey Services (Orbit ISS) is seeking an experienced QC Insulation Inspector to support commissioning activities. The role is focused on inspecting and verifying insulation works to ensure full compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements prior to system handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect insulation materials, installation methods, cladding, and weatherproofing during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Verify insulation works against approved drawings, ITPs, method statements, and technical specifications.
- Monitor insulation installation for piping, equipment, tanks, and HVAC ducting.
- Identify, report, and follow up on non-conformances, ensuring timely corrective actions before handover.
- Coordinate with Construction, Commissioning, QC, Engineering, and Client/Third-Party Inspectors.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, commissioning records, and quality documentation.
- Support final inspection and system handover to operations, ensuring all acceptance criteria are met.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a QC Insulation Inspector, preferably during commissioning phases of Oil & Gas or Energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of insulation materials, installation techniques, cladding systems, and commissioning practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, ITPs, and project specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
