Job Description


Role Description The QC Welding Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Arab Emirates, responsible for monitoring and verifying welding quality across projects. This role involves conducting visual and dimensional inspections of welds, reviewing welding procedures and welder qualifications, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, client specifications, and company standards. The QC Welding Inspector will document inspection findings, prepare reports, and support non-conformance investigations and corrective actions. Daily tasks include coordinating with project teams, contractors, and clients, participating in quality audits, and helping maintain a safe working environment at job sites. The role also requires maintaining accurate records, supporting continuous improvement in welding practices, and collaborating with Quality Assurance and Quality Control personnel to uphold Intertek's Total Quality Assurance standards.

QC Welding Inspector

  • Candidate should possess Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Relevant certification such as CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, or equivalent welding inspection qualification is mandatory.
  • Candidates should possess minimum 10 years of experience in Structural Steel Fabrication & Piping with strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills, including experience applying welding-related standards and procedures.
  • Candidates should possess solid Inspection skills, including visual inspection of welds, use of measurement tools, and understanding of welding defects and acceptance criteria.
  • Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, including reporting, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and interaction with clients and contractors.
  • Experience with international welding codes and standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, ISO) and working on industrial or construction projects is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret welding drawings and procedures, and to work safely in field and site environments.
  • Candidate having ADNOC Approval highly preferable.
