Role Description
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and pricing for construction tenders.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract conditions.
- Ensure accurate quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Analyze risks, opportunities, and value engineering proposals during tender preparation.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide QS Tendering Engineers and Junior QS staff.
- Allocate tasks, set deadlines, and ensure timely tender submissions.
- Review and validate team outputs for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide technical guidance and support to improve team performance.
- Prepare commercial clarifications and tender queries.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Support contract negotiations and post-tender clarifications.
- Act as the main point of contact for tender-related commercial matters.
- Prepare tender review reports and cost summaries for management approval.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 710 years of experience in QS and tendering roles.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent analytical and cost estimation abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of BOQs, take-offs, and pricing.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel and estimation software.
