Quality Associate Manager - Fruits & Vegetables | MAF Retail | Head Office Egypt
Role Summary
The Quality Associate Manager – Fruits & Vegetables is responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of F&V products across stores, warehouses, suppliers, and Private Label activities. The role oversees quality inspections, laboratory analysis, supplier audits, customer complaints, recalls, and corrective action plans to maintain consistent F&V standards. It also ensures effective coordination with internal teams, and suppliers.
ROLE PROFILE
- Follow up on Quality processes associated with the development, sourcing and monitoring of Fresh Fruits & Vegetables (F&V) products, including lab analysis, quality inspections, audits, shelf-life monitoring and customer complaints.
- Support Private Label F&V development by revising technical documents related to Private Label development in MAF operating countries and ensure compliance with Carrefour quality policy, F&V specifications and local regulations.
- Maintain good communication with other Quality teams in the stores, F&V operations, suppliers and local authorities to guarantee the professional image of the department and ensure consistent F&V quality standards.
- Maintain good communication with quality service providers and laboratories to guarantee the professional image of the company and ensure timely completion and follow-up of F&V quality analyses.
- Manage customer complaints, product recalls and quality investigations related to F&V products at store and warehouse level, including root-cause analysis and follow-up of corrective actions.
- Follow up on F&V product specifications and quality requirements, including freshness, appearance, maturity, size, defects, packaging, storage conditions and shelf-life requirements, where applicable.
- Follow up on F&V supplier audit schedules, audit reports and corrective action plans, ensuring timely closure of identified quality non-conformities.
- Manage all the communications with service providers and evaluate their performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in agriculture or Science
- 5-7 years of experience in Quality field for Fruits and Vegetables is a must
- ISO 22000 , HACCP, IFS, BRCGS, global gap are preferred
- Experience in import and export
