We're hiring, on behalf of one of our clients, a mid-to-senior level QA Engineer to join a growing product and engineering team.
This will be the first dedicated QA hire, giving you the opportunity to own quality end-to-end, establish strong testing practices, and build the foundation for a scalable QA function.
The role is hands-on and spans manual, exploratory, and automation testing across web, mobile, and API platforms.
What You'll Do
- Perform manual and exploratory testing to ensure high-quality releases
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web, mobile, and APIs
- Build automation frameworks from scratch where coverage does not exist and enhance existing frameworks
- Use Playwright or Cypress for modern web automation
- Implement mobile automation using Appium
- Create and maintain API tests using Postman, Newman, Pytest, or similar tools
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers, frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
- Execute regression, integration, and smoke testing for releases
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
- Help define and improve QA processes, standards, and best practices
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in QA engineering (manual + automation)
- Strong experience with Playwright or Cypress
- Experience with Appium for mobile automation (Android & iOS)
- Solid experience in API testing (Postman, Newman, Pytest)
- Experience using Python for test automation
- Proficiency in JavaScript for writing and maintaining automation scripts
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive quality initiatives
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Nice to Have
- ISTQB or similar QA certifications
- Experience in fintech, payments, or loyalty platforms
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
