Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our growing Food & Beverages company. This pivotal role will oversee the quality assurance team, ensuring that all products meet industry standards and are delivered with the highest quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food safety protocols, quality control processes, and regulatory compliance, with a passion for enhancing product quality and customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise and monitor all QA activities across production lines (sorting, frying, freezing, and packaging).
  • Implement, maintain, and improve HACCP, GMP, and ISO/FSSC 22000 systems.
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
  • Monitor raw materials, oil quality, seasoning, and packaging integrity.
  • Oversee lab testing and sensory evaluation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local Egyptian food safety standards (NFSA) and export regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for audits and certifications.
  • Prepare and submit QA reports, KPI dashboards, and non-conformance summaries
  • Lead and develop a QA/QC team of supervisors, lab analysts, and quality inspectors.
  • Train factory employees on quality standards, hygiene practices, and food safety awareness.
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication with Production, Maintenance, and R&D.
  • Implement quality improvement projects (e.g., reduction of oil usage variance, defect control, yield improvement).
  • Analyze customer complaints and drive root cause analysis to eliminate recurrence.
  • Benchmark global best practices in frozen food quality.
  • Evaluate and audit raw material suppliers (potatoes, oils, packaging).
  • Establish quality specifications and incoming inspection standards.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in food science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.
  • Master's degree in food science or quality management (preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 -10 years of experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry, preferably in snack foods or frozen foods.
  • Proven experience in managing quality systems, HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000 & BRC.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
