Position Summary:
The Senior QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities for the residential project comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes. The role focuses on maintaining high construction quality, minimizing rework, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor the Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) plans for the residential project.
- Ensure all construction works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, local authority regulations, and international standards.
- Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), material submittals, and shop drawings related to civil, architectural, and finishing works.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship quality and material compliance.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Monitor and close NCRs, corrective actions, and preventive actions in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper testing and inspection of finishing materials.
- Prepare and maintain quality records, inspection reports, test results, and handover documentation.
- Support project handover by ensuring all QA/QC documentation is complete and approved.
- Participate in internal and external audits and ensure audit findings are addressed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture/Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 58 years of experience in QA/QC roles, with strong experience in residential building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, and quality systems (ISO standards preferred).
- Experience working with consultants and local authorities.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
