Arabian Construction Company (ACC) is a regional leader in the construction industry, renowned for delivering some of the Middle East and Africa's most iconic and sophisticated construction masterpieces. With a proud 50-year legacy, ACC has consistently shaped the skylines of major cities, building landmark high-rise commercial, residential, and hospitality projects, alongside complex infrastructure and industrial facilities.
ACC is seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Inspector with 5-6 years of specialized and demonstrable experience in large-scale high-rise building construction projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in upholding ACC's renowned quality standards, ensuring that all construction activities, materials, and workmanship strictly comply with project specifications, international codes, and our stringent quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Quality Assurance & Control for High-Rise Structures: Proactively implement and rigorously enforce the project-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP) and Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), specifically adapted for the unique challenges and complexities of high-rise construction.
- Conduct comprehensive, systematic, and regular inspections across all critical phases of high-rise development, including deep foundations, raft slabs, reinforced concrete superstructures (with a focus on verticality, high-strength concrete applications, and post-tensioning).
- Ensure absolute conformity of all construction activities to approved shop drawings, project specifications, relevant international codes.
- Monitor and verify precise execution of concrete pours at significant heights, including stringent control over temperature, compaction, and curing processes to ensure structural integrity and durability.
- Oversee the quality of critical structural connections, rebar detailing, and post-tensioning operations inherent in tall building construction.
- Impeccable Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely inspection reports, including comprehensive observations, precise measurements, and photographic documentation.
- Actively track and expedite the resolution of NCRs, verifying effective re-inspection and close-out in line with project timelines.
- Contribute significantly to the compilation of thorough quality documentation packages required for phased handovers and final project acceptance, with particular attention to high-rise critical elements.
- Advanced Material & System Verification: Conduct rigorous inspections of incoming materials, giving paramount attention to those critical for high-rise performance and durability (e.g., specialized concrete admixtures, high-performance glass, complex façade system components, high-speed elevator elements, and fire-rated materials).
- Ensure impeccable storage, handling, and traceability of all materials within the often-constrained logistical environment of a high-rise construction site.
- Specialized Testing & Regulatory Compliance: Witness and verify critical material and in-situ tests specific to high-rise construction (e.g., concrete core tests, rebar scanner surveys, welding inspections for structural steel, air and water tightness testing for façade systems, firestopping integrity tests, mock-up reviews).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate seamlessly and effectively with ACC's project management team, specialized high-rise design consultants (structural, architectural, MEP, façade), and expert subcontractors to proactively identify and resolve complex quality issues unique to tall building construction.
- Actively participate in technical and coordination meetings, quality audits, and client reviews, representing ACC's unwavering commitment to quality.
- Provide expert technical guidance and training to site teams on high-rise specific quality requirements, international best practices, and ACC's high standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline from a reputable university.
- Minimum of 5-6 years of direct, hands-on experience as a QA/QC Inspector on large-scale, iconic high-rise building projects (e.g., commercial towers, luxury residential skyscrapers, mixed-use developments exceeding 15-20 stories).
- Demonstrable in-depth expertise and practical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality requirements specific to high-rise structures (e.g., core wall construction, post-tensioning systems, high-performance concrete, advanced façade installation techniques, vertical transportation systems, and integrated building management systems).
- Thorough understanding of quality control principles, advanced inspection techniques, and robust quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 certified environments, which ACC operates under).
- Proven ability to expertly interpret and apply complex architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications, and relevant international codes (e.g., IBC, ACI, AISC, BS EN) and Egyptian building codes for high-rise structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic are essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and superior problem-solving skills in a dynamic, high-pressure, and technically demanding construction environment.
- Ability to work independently, make sound judgments, and function effectively as a critical member of a diverse and high-performing project team.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with construction management software/platforms (e.g., BIM 360, Procore, or similar for quality modules).
