Quality Assurance Specialist

Role Overview:

• The Mid-Level Mobile QA Tester will be responsible for validating mobile app features,identifying defects, documenting test scenarios, and ensuring stable releases across iOS and Android. The role requires hands-on testing experience, analytical thinking, and a structured approach to quality.

Key Responsibilities

Execute manual functional and regression testing for Android/iOS mobile applications.

Review UI/UX designs, user stories, and acceptance criteria to develop clear test cases.

Create, maintain, and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test data.

Report, track, and retest defects using the team's bug tracking system (e.g., Jira).

Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to clarify requirements.

Conduct smoke, sanity, performance edge-case, and usability testing.

Validate API responses through tools like Postman (basic validation & request flow).

Perform device compatibility and responsiveness testing across different screen sizes.

Assist in release readiness and provide go/no-go recommendations for deployment.

Support exploratory testing to uncover unplanned defects and user-flow issues.

Required Qualifications

13 years of hands-on experience in mobile application testing.

Strong knowledge of SDLC, QA methodologies, and software testing principles.

Experience with Jira or similar bug/issue tracking systems.

Familiarity with Postman and test documentation (Test Cases / Test Reports).

Understanding of mobile environments, device testing, and OS version differences.

Ability to write clear bug reports with reproducible steps and severity levels.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred / Nice to Have.

Basic knowledge of automation tools (Appium, Selenium, or alternatives) is a plus.

Exposure to API testing or backend verification.
