Exciting Opportunity for QC Engineer!
Are you an experienced QC Engineer with a strong commitment to quality and compliance We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Quality team and support quality control activities throughout material inspection, fabrication, testing, and final product realization. This role offers an excellent opportunity to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved procedures, client specifications, international standards, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify incoming materials against Material Requisitions (MRQ), LPOs, and purchase specifications.
- Review and validate material test certificates to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain material traceability records by assigning and recording unique identification numbers.
- Assist in issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for non-compliant materials or fabrication deviations.
- Ensure approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) are available and implemented on the shop floor.
- Coordinate with Production Engineers and Welding Supervisors to ensure compliance with approved welding practices.
- Conduct and support stage-wise inspections during fabrication in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and Quality Control Plans (QCP).
- Coordinate and witness Destructive Testing (DT), Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and pressure testing activities.
- Perform inspections for blasting, painting, and coating works as per project specifications.
- Ensure measuring and testing equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
- Prepare, compile, and maintain inspection records, test reports, qualification documents, and final quality dossiers.
- Support the preparation of inspection and test packs for project handover.
- Coordinate with clients, third-party inspectors, and classification surveyors on quality-related activities.
- Communicate inspection findings and quality status to senior engineers and project stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support to QC Inspectors while promoting adherence to quality standards and project procedures.
Requirements
- Education: Degree, Diploma, or Professional Training Certification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Certification: Lead Auditor – ISO 9001 certification is required.
- Experience: 5–10 years of relevant experience in quality control, inspection, and fabrication within engineering, manufacturing, marine, or oil & gas projects.
- Skills & Abilities: Strong knowledge of quality management systems, inspection processes, welding inspection, material traceability, NDT/DT coordination, pressure testing, and project quality documentation. Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with production teams, clients, and third-party inspectors.
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Good command of English.
