Job Purpose
Ensure that all manufactured products meet defined quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory specifications by executing and supervising inspections across the production cycle. The QC Engineer develops inspection plans, verifies compliance with technical specifications, oversees product testing, and coordinates closely with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues. This role safeguards product reliability, reduces non-conformities, and ensures on-time delivery of defect-free products while maintaining strict adherence to QHSE standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute inspection plans in alignment with quality procedures and project requirements.
- Perform and supervise inspections at different stages of production to ensure conformity with product specifications and quality standards.
- Review product design specifications to determine inspection criteria, sampling methods, and acceptance standards.
- Verify calibration of inspection tools and ensure equipment readiness for accurate inspections.
- Monitor and follow up on the order cycle with Production and Planning departments to ensure timely inspections and delivery commitments.
- Support production teams in troubleshooting quality issues and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure products are properly identified, segregated, and held in quality-controlled areas until approved for dispatch.
- Coordinate with the Testing Laboratory by submitting technical documentation (drawings, datasheets, shipment details) and following up on test results.
- Review and validate test outcomes, ensuring certificates of conformity are obtained in line with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Align with the Technical and Packaging departments to confirm packing requirements and documentation for local and export shipments.
- Issue shipping requests only for approved products and coordinate with the Shipping Department for final dispatch.
- Prepare and maintain accurate inspection records, test results, and compliance reports.
- Coordinate with QA to finalize NCRs and address activities associated with quality issues.
- Submit regular quality status updates and inspection summaries to Project Management and Quality Section Head.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 17025 quality standards, as well as customer and regulatory requirements.
Qualification & Education
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering.
Years of Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within a manufacturing or heavy industry (preferably transformers or electrical equipment).
