Quality Control Engineer - Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications to verify conformance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
• Conduct on-site inspections of mechanical installations, equipment, and systems to assess workmanship, materials, and performance
• Coordinate with testing laboratories to oversee quality control testing of mechanical systems, including functionality, efficiency, and safety testing
• Identify quality issues and collaborate with the project team to develop and implement corrective actions
• Maintain detailed quality control records, reports, and documentation
• Provide technical guidance and training to field mechanics on quality control best practices
• Work closely with project managers to ensure mechanical quality objectives are achieved within schedule and budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Strong working knowledge of relevant mechanical codes, standards, and industry regulations
• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
