About the Role
Responsible for Quality Control inspections in an allocated segment of a project under execution.
Responsibilities
- Identify and report nonconformities, following-up on remedial action and signing off completed components of work.
- Study project specifications and technical drawings to gain an understanding and appreciation of work to be undertaken.
- Inspect work being carried out on projects, within allocated area of responsibility, to ensure compliance with the Quality inspection plan.
- Resolve minor issues at the work site and prepare a non-conformance report in the case of more serious breaches setting out the circumstances.
- Ensure the timely issuance of inspection and testing quality records and check their adequacy to demonstrate the conformity of construction works.
- Monitor work progress and requests Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of welds at predetermined locations.
- Follow-up on results and ensures required action is implemented.
- Generate inspection reports to record activities undertaken daily and sign-off completed work segments at respective hold points and passes reports to Documentation for filing and safekeeping.
- Liaise with client QC representative on inspection activities and provide clarifications.
- Compliance in accordance with HSE Standard.
Qualifications:
- Post Secondary Technical Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
- Discipline specific certification or equivalent (Welding (CSIPW 3.1), coating (BGAS Level II), E&I (IECEX), Civil, NDT(ASNT Level II), etc.).
- Multidiscipline certification or equivalent.
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum 05 years experience in a similar role and industry.
