Job Description

Job Purpose

The QAQC Engineer is responsible for ensuring adherence to quality standards, overseeing quality control procedures, and maintaining compliance with project specifications, regulations and standards. The QAQC Engineer will also be responsible for Quality Assurance of fabrication and construction and will be a key member of a project team planning and coordinating the successful handing over of projects which will include testing and commissioning, conducting training events and verifying the accuracy of as built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals and other handover documentation.

General Responsibility:

  • Support the QHSE Manager to ensure quality standards are maintained and works are compliant with specifications and requirements.
  • Implement and enforce quality control processes throughout AMB.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to identify deviations and ensure conformity.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality reports, test results, and compliance records.
  • Propose and implement improvements in QA/QC processes for enhanced efficiency.
  • Provide guidance to project teams on QA/QC protocols and best practices.
  • Collaborate with teams to address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality standards are met for incoming materials.
  • Provide input to other departments or parties as needed on time.
  • Oversee and implement quality control processes across project phases.
  • Ensure project activities adhere to relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality reports, test data, inspections and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with clients / consultant on Quality related matters.
  • Conduct Quality Awareness trainings & Meetings.
  • Promote Sustainability and AMB Environmental objectives through Reduce, Resue, & Recycle
  • Implement IMS procedures at all levels.
  • Adhere to and promote the company Values, Vision and Mission

Background & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 Years of relevant work experience.
  • Preferable industry relevant certifications such as ISO standards.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC software and documentation systems

Competencies and Skills

  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Understanding of construction processes and techniques.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Problem Solving.
  • Highly organised.
  • Effective communication.
