Job Description

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet established quality standards and specifications. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems, conducting audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in identifying defects, analyzing data, and implementing corrective actions to enhance product quality and ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, the role may involve training staff on quality standards and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Production process control, responsible for product quality
  • Conduct inspections and audits of materials, components, and finished products
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings
  • Check products quality according to the standards specifications
  • Create and maintain detailed validation documentation reports
  • Prepare Corrective Actions for defective products
  • Inspect all newly manufactured products

Requirements


Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering

Experience:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in same position

Technical Skills:


  • Quality Management Systems.
  • Statistical Process Control.
  • Root Cause Analysis.
  • Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • ISO Standards Compliance
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • CAD Software (if applicable)

Key Skills:


Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and materials

Analytical Skills:


  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions

Problem-Solving:


  • Strong skills in root cause analysis and developing effective corrective actions

Attention to Detail:


  • Keen eye for identifying defects and ensuring compliance with specifications

Communication Skills:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication for reporting findings and collaborating with teams

Project Management:


  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Statistical Process Control (SPC):


  • Knowledge of statistical methods and tools for quality control and improvement

Regulatory Knowledge:


  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards relevant to manufacturing

Team Collaboration:


  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and foster a culture of quality

Training and Development:


  • Skills in training staff on quality standards and best practices

Continuous Improvement:


  • Commitment to Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies for process improvement.
