Job Description

Parsons is seeking a Quality Engineer to perform high-level quality activities on complex projects and functional programs. You will ensure that all products and services delivered are in strict accordance with customer requirements and Parsons global quality standards. This role requires regular interaction with project management, design, procurement, and construction teams to drive operational excellence.

What You Will Be Doing

  • System Support & Optimization: Provide Quality Systems support using ISO 9001 as the foundation for process development, data reporting, and training.
  • Audit Management: Plan and execute internal quality audits across offices and job sites. You will document findings to ensure compliance with contract requirements, codes, and specifications (Design, Procurement, Construction, etc.).
  • Corrective Actions: Effectively document, follow up on, and close internal and external corrective actions. Analyze non-conformance trends to identify program-wide performance issues.
  • Technical Reviews: Conduct quality engineering reviews of design documentation, vendor manuals, and technical deliverables to verify compliance with industry codes and regulatory commitments.
  • Supply Chain Quality: Assist in qualification audits of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they meet Parsons and the Client's rigorous quality expectations.
  • Safety Integration: Promote safety awareness and participate in safety field audits and assessments to ensure a holistic approach to project risk.

Education & Experience


  • Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Quality, or a related field.
  • Experience: Typically 6+ years of related experience in the field of Quality.
  • Certifications (Required/Preferred): * Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
    • ASQ Certification (CMQ/OE, CQA, or CQE) is highly preferred.
    • Specialized certifications (NQA-1, AWS Welding Inspector, NDT) are a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of infrastructure, aviation, or large-scale transportation projects

Skills & Competencies

  • Systems Expertise: Deep knowledge of ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, and ASTM standards.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing business metrics (ROI, cost per unit) and performing statistical process control.
  • Communication: Ability to conduct management-level presentations and interface effectively with diverse professional groups.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Visio.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong risk assessment, problem-solving, and project planning skills are essential.
