To maintain a competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new Software Quality Engineer Intern

Job purpose:

As a Software Quality Engineer Intern, you will support the Quality Engineering team in ensuring the quality and reliability of Geidea's products. You will gain hands-on experience in software testing, learn industry best practices, and contribute to testing activities within Agile development teams under the guidance of experienced Quality Engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and executing test cases based on business and functional requirements.
  • Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing for assigned user stories.
  • Document test results and report defects clearly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Developers, and Product Owners to understand product requirements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Help maintain test documentation and testing artifacts.
  • Support test data preparation and test environment validation activities.
  • Learn and apply software quality assurance standards, testing methodologies, and best practices.
  • Assist in identifying and reporting potential quality risks and issues.

Qualifications

  • Senior student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of Software Testing concepts and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of bug tracking and test management tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the Quality Engineering field.
