Role Overview
The Quality Management Director will lead and oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organisation's Quality Management Systems (QMS) across all projects.
The role ensures full compliance with international standards, client requirements, and internal governance frameworks while embedding a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
This is a strategic leadership position reporting to senior executive management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the corporate Quality Management strategy aligned with the firm's growth objectives.
- Establish quality policies, procedures, and governance frameworks across regional offices.
- Lead quality transformation initiatives and standardisation efforts.
2. Quality Management Systems
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001 and related frameworks).
- Oversee internal and external audits.
- Maintain certification requirements across jurisdictions.
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to quality performance.
3. Operational Oversight
- Monitor quality performance across projects and offices.
- Implement corrective and preventive action frameworks.
- Review risk assessments and ensure quality risk mitigation.
- Ensure documentation control and reporting standards are adhered to.
4. Continuous Improvement
- Lead root cause analysis for quality incidents.
- Implement process optimisation and efficiency improvements.
- Promote best practices across regions.
- Benchmark performance against industry standards.
5. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and mentor quality teams across offices.
- Coordinate with Operations, Commercial, and Project Directors.
- Engage with clients on quality assurance matters.
- Provide regular reports to senior management and Board level.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's Degree (M.Sc.) in Engineering, Quality Management, or relevant discipline.
- Minimum 20 years of professional experience.
- Proven experience in leading Quality Management functions within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or consultancy environments.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO standards and international quality frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-office or regional operations.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.
