The Quality Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality across all phases of our projects. They are responsible for developing and implementing the Project Quality Plan, ensuring that all on-site activities adhere to established QA/QC procedures. This role involves close collaboration with various teams, contractors, and clients to guarantee that project deliverables meet Hill International's quality benchmarks and best practices. The Quality Manager also provides mentorship and training to project personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to Hill's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain the Project Quality Plan, ensuring it aligns with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor QA/QC procedures on-site and report findings to the Program Manager.
  • Address non-compliance issues with laws and regulations, coordinating corrective actions.
  • Review contract documents for QA/QC requirements and advise the Program Manager on any deficiencies.
  • Evaluate QA/QC site organization and key personnel, providing feedback to management.
  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and document control, as per contract requirements.
  • Review and update all contractual turnover documents to meet necessary standards.
  • Liaise with relevant departments on quality-related matters.
  • Conduct technical compliance audits to ensure consultants and contractors adhere to standards.
  • Engage with the client's quality assurance department to maintain effective communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Management from an accredited university.
  • Western experience and/or education are mandatory.
  • Professional experience of at least 17+ years, including a Quality Manager role on large projects.
  • Familiarity with cultural aspects of project management in the Kingdom.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality principles and their application to various fields.
  • Ability to apply corrective actions for non-conformity cases.
  • Understanding of organizational requirements and their impact on the quality plan.
  • Excellent communication and editorial skills.
  • Experience in providing guidance and on-the-job training.
  • Familiarity with computer applications and programs.
