QUALITY MANAGER / HSE Manger - PV/BESS Utility Scale Project

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join a landmark, large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant integrated with a state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This is a high-profile, strategic project that will play a pivotal role in the UAE's clean energy transition.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Quality Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive Quality Management System to ensure all aspects of the project meet and exceed the required standards. This role is critical to ensuring the long-term reliability, safety, and performance of this strategic renewable energy asset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

▸ Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan and Quality Management System.

▸ Lead all quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities across the project.

▸ Conduct regular quality audits, identify non-conformities, and drive corrective and preventive actions.

▸ Ensure all materials, equipment, and construction processes comply with project specifications and international standards.

▸ Manage and mentor a team of quality inspectors and engineers.

▸ Coordinate with the EPC Contractor and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all phases of construction.

▸ Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality-related documentation.

▸ Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

▸ Experience: A minimum of 15 years of related experience, including 5 years in the role of Quality Control Manager / Quality Manager.

▸ Industry Background: Must have worked for a project management consultancy related organization, or a well-reputed contractor, or developer.

▸ Education: Must be qualified with degree level certification awarded by a reputable educational establishment.

▸ Professional Status: Must hold professional chartered status, or equivalent, bestowed by an accredited professional institution.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

▸ Strong knowledge of international quality standards and codes applicable to power generation projects.

▸ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

▸ Proven ability to manage quality teams and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

▸ Experience with solar PV and/or BESS projects is highly preferred.

▸ Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office applications.
