Role Description

● Lead and supervise the Quality Control & Quality Assurance teams across date palm farming operations.

● Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures, standards, and inspection plans for date palm cultivation and harvesting activities.

● Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, company procedures, customer requirements, and regulatory requirements.

● Conduct and oversee regular field inspections and quality audits throughout the cultivation and harvesting cycle.

● Monitor crop quality and identify quality risks related to pests, diseases, agricultural practices, harvesting, handling, and storage.

● Monitor quality performance, analyze findings and trends, and prepare regular quality reports and KPIs for management.

● Investigate quality issues and non-conformities, perform root-cause analysis, and follow up on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

● Collaborate with Farm Management and relevant departments to implement quality improvement initiatives and ensure corrective actions are effectively closed.

● Ensure accurate and complete documentation of inspections, audit findings, test results, non-conformities, corrective actions, and compliance records.

● Coordinate with external laboratories and certification bodies for product testing, analysis, audits, and required certifications.

● Train and guide farm employees on quality standards, inspection requirements, good agricultural practices, and relevant quality procedures.

● Ensure quality requirements are effectively applied across the full agricultural cycle, from cultivation and harvesting through handling and storage.

● Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of all quality-related observations and findings.

Stay updated on developments, standards, and best practices related to date palm cultivation,

agricultural quality, and food safety.

Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field

● Proven experience in farming and cultivation sector, with a minimum of 7:9 years of relevant experience.

● Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, overseeing a team of farm workers.

● Excellent understanding of quality control/assurance principles, processes, and standards in agricultural production.

● Familiarity with agricultural regulations and compliance requirements.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues.

● Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with farm workers, management, and external stakeholders.

● Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data collection and record-keeping.

● Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

● Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of agricultural software and MS Office applications.

• Ability to work on-site in El Wahat El Bahariya, with strong organizational skills and a focus on safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
