Job Description

ADSS is a successful retail and institutional brokerage based in Abu Dhabi. The Quantitative Developer contributes to the design, development, and support of quantitative analytics, algorithmic trading tools, and pricing technology for ADSS's Front Office. This role develops and maintains high-performance KDB+ and multi-language solutions, collaborates with quantitative and trading teams, and ensures reliable, scalable support for trading, research, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Develop, and maintain KDB+-based software and analytics pipelines supporting trading, pricing, and algorithmic strategies.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, code, testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Support integration of KDB+ solutions with Java, C++, Python, and other systems for access to trading analytics and market data.
  • Work closely with quantitative researchers, traders, and technology teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
  • Implement and enhance data acquisition, quality, validation, and time series management tools across various asset classes.
  • Contribute to team adoption of Agile/DevOps practices, including code reviews, continuous integration, and collaborative sprint cycles.
  • Troubleshoot and provide third-level support for production analytics issues, assisting in root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality, version control, and documentation in all development work.
  • Stay abreast of developments in quantitative technology and propose innovative solutions to technical challenges.

Key Interfaces within ADSS

  • Collaborates with Sales, Risk, Compliance, Product, Technology, Operations, and Senior Leadership teams.
  • Engages with counterparties, liquidity providers, prime brokers, technology vendors, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or related field).

Experience

  • 3 – 5 years of quantitative development experience in trading, market data, or financial services environments.
  • Solid hands-on knowledge of KDB+/Q, with experience in Java, Python, or C++ integration favored.
