Job Description

Job Title: Quantity Surveying Team Leader

Organization: Nesma Infrastructure & Technology

Department: Quantity Survey Department

Reports To: Quantity Survey Manager


Job Purpos

eThe Quantity Surveying Team Leader supports the Quantity Survey Manager in administering NIT's contracts, claims, and commercial procedures from the Quantity Surveying perspective. The role is responsible for leading the QS team and managing client and subcontractor interim and final payment certifications, variations, claims, and cost reporting to ensure effective commercial control across projects

.Key Responsibilitie

  • sLead, supervise, and mentor junior and senior Quantity Surveyor
  • sAssign tasks, set priorities, monitor progress, and ensure timely deliver
  • yManage pre- and post-contract quantity surveying activitie
  • sPrepare, review, and finalize client interim and final payment certificate
  • sPrepare, review, and finalize subcontractor and vendor payment certificate
  • sManage and track variations, change orders, and claims, ensuring proper valuation and documentatio
  • nSupport the resolution of commercial and contractual dispute
  • sReview subcontractor and vendor certificates of paymen
  • tPrepare periodic commercial, financial, and cost report
  • sCoordinate with project management, procurement, engineering, and construction team
  • sLiaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project deliver

yKey Skills & Competencie

  • sCost estimation, budgeting, and cost contro
  • lTendering, procurement, and contract administration (FIDIC / NEC preferred
  • )Measurement and valuation using standard method
  • sStrong leadership, delegation, and team management skill
  • sProficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, Excel, and Oracl
  • eStrong communication, negotiation, and reporting skill

sQualifications & Experienc

  • eBachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline
  • )Minimum 12 years experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in infrastructure or industrial project
  • sStrong experience in contracts, variations, claims, and cost contro
  • lFluent in English with strong leadership and interpersonal skill
  • sWillingness to work on-site in challenging or remote environment
  • sPMP certification is preferre
