Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor with 5-10 years of experience in the Gulf job market context. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying for construction projects. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong track record of delivering projects within budget and on time.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and analyzing project cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow projections
- Conducting cost control and value engineering exercises
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Preparing and analyzing variations and claims
- Advising on procurement strategies and contractual matters
- Providing regular reports on project financial performance
- Managing and mentoring junior quantity surveyors
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role in the Gulf job market context
- Professional membership in a recognized Quantity Surveying institution (e.g. RICS)
- Thorough understanding of construction contracts and procurement methods
- Excellent knowledge of cost planning, estimating, and control techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g. AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, cost estimation software)
