CCC is looking for a competent Sr. Quantity Surveyor - Mechanical to join our projects in Ras Laffan Qatar having the following qualifications and experience:
About the Role
To oversee all aspects of mechanical quantity surveying and BOQ cost management, offering senior expertise and ensuring compliance with the remeasurement contract throughout the lifecycle of the LNG project.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all mechanical quantity surveying activities for LNG Plant projects, including piping, equipment, NDT works, insulation, Refractory, Fire proofing and steel structures.
- To oversee quantity take-off processes and ensure proper application of the applicable Method of Measurement (MOM) and contract requirements.
- Study contract specifications, project procedures, and BOQ to identify and evaluate additional or varied work, ensuring all claims and variations are fully substantiated.
- Prepare star rates, and negotiate new items, variations and final measurements with the Client and ensure agreement on all remeasurement matters.
- Liaise with planning, site, and engineering teams to verify progress and reconcile measured quantities with site records.
- Review and submit interim and final payment applications, including supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate records, measurement logs, and updated as-built quantities.
- Ensure compliance with Project Specifications, project procedures, and relevant industry standards.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior QS team members as needed.
- Demonstrate excellent computer proficiency, with strong ability to use MS Word, Excel, Power Point and project management systems.
- Support the project in commercial matters, cost forecasting and reporting as required.
- Promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture in all QS activities.
Qualifications
- Career Level: Over 10 years of experience
- Education: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering / Quantity Surveying
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical quantity surveying.
- Experience in BOQ cost management.
- Experience in LNG projects.
- Ability to ensure compliance with contracts.
