About the job
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our EPC team on multi-discipline onshore oil and gas projects. You will look after quantity surveying, cost control, contract administration and progress measurement. You will report to the Planning & Project Control Manager and work closely with the Project Manager.
What you will do
- Prepare quantity take-offs from approved drawings, specifications and engineering documents
- Verify executed quantities across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom works
- Prepare Quantity Measurement Sheets and obtain stakeholder verification and approval
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets, identify variances and support cost forecasts and Estimate at Completion (EAC)
- Work with Planning Engineers on monthly progress measurement and earned value reporting
- Prepare interim payment applications and final account submissions
- Verify subcontractor progress for monthly valuations
- Evaluate variation orders, change requests and compensation events, and prepare commercial assessments for additional works
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams on commercial and progress matters
What you will bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveying experience in EPC projects, with at least 3 years in Oil & Gas EPC projects
- Proven experience in quantity take-off, quantity verification, cost control, progress measurement, interim valuations, final accounts and variation management
- Strong knowledge of ADNOC quantity surveying, contract administration and measurement standards
- Experience in multi-discipline projects covering Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom works
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD and Primavera P6
- Strong understanding of contract interpretation, variation assessment, claims support and commercial management
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
