As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by meticulously managing project costs and finances. Your responsibilities will include
- Preparing quantities and cost estimates: Developing initial budget proposals and cost plans for projects.
- Handling tender documents: Effectively preparing and evaluating tender documents.
- Drafting and managing agreements: Facilitating agreements between various project parties.
- Monitoring project expenditures: Ensuring projects remain within budgetary constraints (this task can be handled by CCE).
- Preparing final accounts: Reconciling total project costs and overseeing timely payments to stakeholders.
- Preparing payment applications: Generating and submitting payment applications to clients within specified deadlines.
- Managing payment certificates: Coordinating payment certificates for subcontractors and maintaining accurate project logs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in quantity takeoff methods and cost estimation techniques.
- Excellent understanding of tender processes and contract management.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., Excel, AutoCAD, cost estimating software).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
