Job Description

We are looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor - Post Contract with a strong background in

Post-Contract work to assist with contractual claims and disputes, price variations, change orders and payment processing within the real estate development sector for our client based in Dubai which is one of the largest semi government organization in the region.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and is renewable.

The role is within the Contract & Procurement department.

We are looking for a passionate Quantity Surveyor – Post Contract with strong knowledge in contractual processes, ensuring cost efficiency, and safeguarding the company's commercial interests across projects. You should also have experience in/possess knowledge of cost planning, tendering, FIDIC contracts, procurement processes, and contract administration within the real estate or construction industry.

Key responsibilities:

Post contract administration and commercial management including but not limited to the

following:

• Reviewing and processing variations of consultants and contractors in

accordance with the contract.

• Administering variations of consultants and contractors in accordance with the

client's Change Management procedures.

• Reviewing and ensuring insurances and bank guarantees (bonds) are in

accordance with the requirements of the contract.

• Reviewing EOT and prolongations cost claims.

• Payment valuations and preparing payment certificates.

• Preparing monthly cost report, cashflow and accruals.

• Close out of final account, preparing final payment certificate and release of

bank guarantees.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

• 8–10 years experience in project management consultancy/developer, with a

minimum of 5 years in post-contract roles (UAE experience is preferred).

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

• Very good command of English and strong communication skills.

• Experience with various aspects of Quantity Surveying such as Contract

Administration, Field, and Drawing Measurements, Material Takeoff, Estimating,

Valuations, Bills of Quantities, Reports, Claims, Dispute Resolution, Variations,

Arbitrations, Contractual Letters, Final Accounts preparation, and project closeout.

• Knowledge in FIDIC suite of Contract is an advantage;

• Excellent negotiation & change management skills.

Availability:

Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or a maximum 30 days after accepting the offer.
