Quantity Surveyor - Post Contract

We are looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor—(PostContract) to join our client's team in Dubai, one of the biggest organisations in the region.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and is renewable.

The role will be with the Contract & Procurement Department andwill be responsible for day-to-day functional leadership of estimating and quantity surveying skill sets to enable the organisation to achieve project delivery goals post-contract.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and process variations of consultants and contractors in accordance with the contract.
• Administer variations of consultants and contractors in accordance with the client's Change Management procedures.
• Review and ensuring insurances and bank guarantees (bonds) are in accordance with the requirements of the contract.
• Review EOT and prolongations cost claims.
• Prepare payment certificates & Payment valuations
• Prepare monthly cost report, cashflow and accruals.
• Close out of final account, preparing final payment certificate and release of bank guarantees.

Knowledge, skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience with consultant, developer, or mixture of Consultant & Contractor (UAE experience is an advantage)
• Graduate degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Excellent good command of English and strong communication skills
• Experience with various aspects of Quantity Surveying such as Contract Administration, Field, and Drawing Measurements, Material Takeoff, Estimating, Valuations, Bills of Quantities, Reports, Claims, Dispute Resolution, Variations, Arbitrations, Contractual Letters, Final Accounts preparation, and project close-out
• Good negotiation skills & change management skills
