Quantity Surveyor – Data Centres

Overview

A leading global consultancy, widely recognised for delivering complex projects across the built environment, is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support its expanding portfolio of data centre developments.

This organisation has built a strong reputation for providing cost management, project management, and advisory services on high-value, technically demanding projects. With a significant presence across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, they are particularly known for their involvement in large-scale data centre, commercial, and infrastructure programmes, working with some of the world's most recognised clients.

The Role

You will play a key role in the successful delivery of major data centre projects, supporting cost management activities from pre-contract through to final account. This position offers exposure to fast-paced, high-value developments where accuracy, commercial awareness, and stakeholder management are critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple projects
  • Prepare cost estimates, tender documentation, and procurement packages
  • Support the evaluation of contractor and supplier submissions
  • Manage valuations, variations, and change control processes
  • Monitor project costs and prepare regular commercial reports
  • Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts
  • Provide commercial support and advice to project teams and clients
  • Work closely with contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure effective cost control and compliance with project objectives

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy or contractor environment
  • Strong background delivering data centre projects (essential)
  • Good understanding of contracts, procurement, and commercial management
  • Experience managing project costs throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field
