Quantity Surveyor (Multi)
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor - Civil, Mechanical & Piping to support the successful delivery of major EPC projects within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Industrial, Marine, and Infrastructure sectors.

YOUR ROLE
As Quantity Surveyor (Multi), you will be responsible for quantity take-offs, cost control, progress measurement, contract administration, variation management, subcontract administration, and commercial monitoring of Civil, Mechanical, and Piping works. This role is critical in ensuring commercial compliance, project profitability, effective risk management, and accurate valuation throughout the project lifecycle.
Quantity Take-Offs & Measurement
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs from IFC drawings, specifications, MTOs, BOQs, and contract documents.
- Measure and verify quantities related to: Earthworks, excavation, backfilling, and grading, Concrete, rebar, structural steel, and architectural works, Building and infrastructure works, Equipment foundations and underground utilities, Static and rotating equipment installation, Tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, and packaged equipment, Process piping, utility piping, pipelines, pipe supports, and structural supports, Insulation, painting, fireproofing, and associated mechanical works
- Maintain quantity tracking registers and measurement records throughout project execution.
- Support preparation, verification, and reconciliation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
Cost Control & Budget Management
- Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and cost baselines.
- Prepare cost forecasts and identify potential cost overruns.
- Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Support project management in achieving commercial objectives and maintaining project profitability.
- Monitor earned value and cost performance indicators.
Progress Measurement & Valuation
- Measure completed Civil, Mechanical, and Piping works for monthly valuation and invoicing.
- Verify progress quantities for client billing and subcontractor payment applications.
- Prepare supporting documentation for payment certificates and commercial submissions.
- Coordinate with Project Controls and Planning teams to ensure progress measurement aligns with project schedules.
Variation & Change Management
- Assess quantity and commercial impacts arising from design changes, field instructions, scope growth, and site modifications.
- Prepare variation estimates, pricing proposals, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain variation registers and change management records.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Construction teams to substantiate commercial entitlements.
Claims & Contract Administration
- Assist in preparation and substantiation of contractual claims and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
- Review and interpret contractual provisions.
- Monitor commercial and contractual compliance.
- Support resolution of commercial disputes and contractual issues.
- Assist in final account preparation and contract closeout activities.
Tendering & Procurement Support
- Assist in preparation of tender documents, BOQs, and commercial submissions.
- Review supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Participate in technical-commercial evaluations and bid analysis.
- Support procurement activities by ensuring alignment between awarded packages and approved estimates.
- Provide quantity verification during procurement processes.
Subcontract Administration
- Monitor subcontractor progress, quantities, and commercial performance.
- Verify subcontractor payment applications and variation claims.
- Maintain subcontract records, correspondence, and commercial documentation.
- Support subcontract final account settlement and closeout activities.
- Monitor subcontract compliance with contractual obligations.
Commercial Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare: Quantity Reports, Cost Reports, Cash Flow Forecasts, Variation Reports, Commercial Dashboards, Management Reports
- Maintain complete records of measurements, valuations, claims, and correspondence.
- Ensure all commercial records are accurately maintained within ERP and document control systems.
- Support internal and external commercial audits.
Risk Management
- Identify commercial risks associated with quantities, contracts, procurement, construction, and project execution.
- Evaluate financial impacts and recommend mitigation measures.
- Participate in contingency planning and risk management initiatives.
- Monitor potential commercial exposures throughout project execution.
Stakeholder Coordination & Collaboration
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Planning, Project Controls, Commercial, and Finance teams.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders on commercial matters.
- Participate in project reviews, commercial meetings, and management presentations.
- Provide commercial recommendations to support project decision-making and contract compliance.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management of Civil, Mechanical, and Piping works.
- Minimum 3 years of experience within: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Industrial, Power Generation, Infrastructure EPC projects
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Or a related discipline
- Preferred certifications: RICS, AACE , CCP (Certified Cost Professional), CIOB or equivalent professional qualifications
- Additional certifications in Contract Management, Commercial Management, Project Controls, Project Management would be advantageous
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Strong experience in quantity take-offs, cost control, and commercial management of:
- Civil and structural works
- Concrete and steel structures
- Plant buildings and infrastructure
- Equipment installation
- Process piping and utility systems
- Cross-country and plant piping
- Tanks and pressure vessels
- Mechanical equipment erection
- Insulation, painting, and fireproofing works
Experience working under EPC contracts, EPCM contracts, Lumpsum contracts, Unit Rate Contracts, Re-Measurable contracts.
