We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our construction supervision team for a major Utilities and Infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. The role will focus on contract administration, measurement, valuation, and cost management to ensure accurate financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Measurement & Valuation:
  • Review and verify contractors interim payment applications and progress claims.
  • Measure quantities from drawings and site works to support cost evaluations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records of works executed for interim and final valuations.
  • Contract Administration:
  • Review and interpret contract documents, bills of quantities, and specifications.
  • Assist in the assessment and evaluation of variations, claims, and change orders.
  • Support in preparing recommendations and reports for client approval.
  • Cost Control & Reporting:
  • Monitor project costs and prepare cost reports highlighting potential risks or variances.
  • Assist the Project Controls and Commercial team in maintaining cost forecasts and cash flow projections.
  • Support in the preparation of final accounts and project close-out documentation.
  • Coordination & Communication:
  • Liaise with the Resident Engineer, Project Control Engineer, and Client's Commercial Team on contractual and financial matters.
  • Provide cost-related inputs for progress reports and project reviews.
  • Maintain organized documentation of correspondence, valuations, and cost data.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 812 years of experience in quantity surveying within construction supervision of infrastructure and utilities projects (roads, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, potable water, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC-based contracts and UAE construction practices.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, CostX, or similar QS software.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Previous experience with major consultants or supervision firms in the UAE or GCC preferred.
