RAN Principal Engineer

Overview:

The RAN Principal Engineer is instrumental in shaping ADC's radio access network design and performance, ensuring robust 4G/5G coverage and seamless mobility across diverse service environments. This role drives network expansion and evolution initiatives, supporting not only consumer connectivity but also business-critical and low-latency applications. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, introduce new radio technologies, and ensure end-to-end service integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Design RAN topology and conduct coverage planning using RF tools.
• Optimize 4G/5G parameters for coverage, throughput, and handover.
• Evaluate and integrate vendor solutions including Open RAN technologies.
• Conduct field trials and benchmarking against KPIs.
• Collaborate with Core and Transport teams for end-to-end performance.
• Support rollout and expansion plans with frequency and capacity planning.
• Conduct troubleshooting and performance tuning based on network KPIs.
• Maintain detailed design documentation and parameter databases.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Wireless Communications or Telecom Engineering.

Experience:

• 6+ years in RAN design and optimization.

Skills:

• Proficient in tools like Atoll, TEMS, Actix; strong command of LTE/5G radio technologies, and KPI-based optimization.
