We are seeking an experienced Raw Materials & Commodity Sourcing Manager with a strong FMCG and food manufacturing background to lead the sourcing and procurement of key raw materials for our chocolate manufacturing operations. The role requires deep market knowledge, supplier development expertise, and the ability to secure high-quality materials at competitive prices while ensuring uninterrupted supply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure raw materials and commodities such as cocoa, sugar, milk powder, fats, emulsifiers, and other food ingredients.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard local and international suppliers, traders, and manufacturers.
- Conduct market research and price trend analysis for commodities and raw materials.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, food safety regulations, and FMCG industry norms.
- Collaborate with production, quality, R&D, and logistics teams to ensure material availability.
- Manage supplier performance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop sourcing strategies to reduce cost, mitigate risk, and improve supply chain resilience.
- Monitor global commodity markets and manage price volatility risks.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 510 years of experience in raw material sourcing or procurement within the FMCG / Food Manufacturing industry.
- Mandatory experience in commodities or ingredient sourcing (preferably chocolate or confectionery-related).
- Strong understanding of global and regional supplier markets.
- Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Experience working with traders and international suppliers
- Familiarity with UAE import regulations, documentation, and logistics.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
