Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Red Hat Senior Consultant with deep expertise in Containers, Red Hat OpenShift, and OpenStack to design, implement, and optimize enterprise grade cloud native and hybrid cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, leading complex engagements, mentoring teams, and ensuring successful delivery of Red Hat based solutions aligned with business and IT objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Solution Design
- Architect, design, and implement enterprise solutions based on Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Containers, and OpenStack.
- Lead hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architecture initiatives using Red Hat technologies.
- Design scalable, secure, and highly available container platforms and private cloud infrastructures.
- Perform platform assessments, migrations, and modernization initiatives from legacy systems to cloud-native architectures.
- Implementation & Delivery
- Lead end to end implementation of OpenShift clusters (on-prem, cloud, and hybrid) including networking, storage, security, and CI/CD integration.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenStack Platform, including compute, storage, networking, and high availability.
- Implement container security, observability, logging, and monitoring solutions.
- Automate deployments and operations using Ansible, Helm, GitOps (ArgoCD), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Consulting & Customer Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct technical workshops, architecture reviews, and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Provide presales support including solution design, technical presentations, and proposal development.
- Troubleshoot complex platform issues and provide advanced-level support and optimization.
- Governance, Security & Best Practices
- Implement enterprise security best practices including RBAC, network policies, image scanning, secrets management, and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to Red Hat reference architectures and industry best practices.
- Define operational models, SLAs, and runbooks for production platforms.
- Mentorship & Collaboration
- Mentor junior consultants and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, application, and infrastructure teams.
- Contribute to internal best practices, reusable assets, and technical documentation.
Required Experience
- 1012 years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years in Red Hat based platforms.
- Strong hand's on experience with:
- Red Hat OpenShift installation, administration, scaling, and upgrades
- Containers & Kubernetes Docker/CRI-O, Kubernetes internals
- Red Hat OpenStack Platform Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone
- Experience designing and supporting production-grade environments.
Required Technical Skills
- OpenStack is a must
- Linux system administration at an advanced level
- Automation using Ansible, Bash, Python
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton, ArgoCD)
- Networking expert (DNS, load balancers, ingress, SDN)
- Storage solutions (Ceph, NFS, persistent volumes in Kubernetes)
- Monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK)
Preferred Qualifications
- Red Hat Certifications (highly desirable):
- RHCE / RHCSA
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift
- Red Hat Certified OpenStack Administrator
- Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) in conjunction with OpenShift
- Knowledge of Service Mesh (Istio), API gateways, and microservices architecture
- Experience in regulated or large enterprise environments
