Responsibilities
1. Market Development & Opportunity Exploration
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on smart water markets in target regions (e.g., Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America) to identify potential demand, competition landscape, and industry trends.
- Proactively discover, evaluate, and qualify overseas smart water project opportunities (such as network monitoring, leakage control, smart plants, metering management, and revenue assurance).
- Establish and maintain long-term strategic partnerships with key clients in target markets, including water utilities, government authorities, EPC contractors, and consulting firms.
2. Project Lifecycle Management
- Lead or deeply participate in the entire process of overseas smart water projects from initial client engagement, requirement communication, and preliminary technical discussions to bidding strategy, tender preparation (coordinating internal resources), business negotiation, contract signing, and project delivery support.
- Understand customer pain points and develop competitive value propositions based on the company's smart water solutions, including SCADA systems, DMA metering, smart meters, and AI-based data analytics platforms.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a core member of project teams, coordinating resources across technical, product, engineering, legal, and finance departments to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
- Provide clear market feedback and project progress reports to project teams and business unit management.
4. Industry Insights & Brand Building
- Represent the company at international exhibitions, conferences, and industry events to strengthen brand awareness in the global water sector.
- Continuously track global developments in smart water technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory trends to support business decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above; engineering or technical background preferred (e.g., Water Supply and Drainage Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, Computer Science, Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hydropower Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering).
- Proven experience in leading or participating in large-scale international B2B/B2G projects.
- Deep understanding of the water industry and smart water technologies, solutions, and applications (e.g., plant automation, network monitoring, DMA, smart metering, and water information systems).
- Experience in international engineering contracting, large-scale equipment/solution export, or consulting firms is a plus.
- Strong project management skills, with familiarity in international tendering procedures and business negotiations.
- Excellent market insight and opportunity identification skills; able to conduct independent market research and accurately identify potential clients and projects.
- Exceptional communication and business negotiation abilities; capable of presenting complex technical and commercial solutions clearly to clients across different cultures.
- Strong problem-solving and stress management skills; able to navigate challenges and uncertainties in overseas market development.
- Excellent teamwork and coordination skills; able to drive cross-department collaboration to achieve project goals.
- Results-oriented mindset with strong execution capabilities and commitment to achieving or exceeding business objectives.
- Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing); capable of handling business negotiations, technical communication, and documentation.
- Willing to travel frequently and for extended periods overseas (mainly to developing countries).
- Passionate about developing emerging international markets and driving the global adoption of smart water technologies.
