Regional Head of HR APAC – Financial Services

We are delighted to be retained by a leading financial services group to appoint a Regional Head of Human Resources (APAC) based in Singapore.

Reporting to the Group Head of HR and working closely with the regional leadership team, this is a highly visible and strategic role responsible for shaping and executing the people agenda across a diverse portfolio of APAC markets. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving organisational performance, enhancing leadership capability and supporting the continued growth of the relationship driven business across the region.

As a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, you will partner directly with regional and country CEOs, influence key business decisions and provide strategic counsel on all people-related matters. You will also engage closely with the regional board and a number of global leaders, supporting core markets including Singapore, Hong Kong, ANZ, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Korea.

Working at the intersection of global, regional and local priorities, you will lead the development and delivery of a cohesive people strategy whilst partnering with business leaders, HR Business Partners, HR Operations and Centres of Excellence. Key areas of focus will include culture and engagement, organisational design, leadership development, succession planning, talent management and organisational effectiveness. You will also sponsor and lead strategic transformation initiatives, particularly those relating to AI, digital adoption and future workforce capability. In addition, you will provide oversight of HR governance and risk across the region, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practice people perspective. You will be comfortable navigating complex employee relations matters, managing senior stakeholder expectations and working closely with regulators to maintain strong governance and HR compliance frameworks.

This opportunity will suit an experienced Regional Head of HR (APAC) operating within a high touch and complex global matrix financial services environment. You will bring a proven ability to balance strategic people leadership with operational excellence, whilst successfully navigating the cultural, regulatory and commercial nuances of a number of markets across APAC.

You will have a track record of leading high-performing, mature and geographically dispersed HR teams and driving impactful people initiatives at scale. Commercially astute and highly influential, you will be recognised for your ability to build trusted relationships, challenge constructively and drive meaningful organisational outcomes.

The successful candidate will be passionate about developing talent, fostering a high-performance culture and championing continuous improvement, whilst maintaining a strong appreciation for risk management, governance and regulatory excellence within a complex and regulated industry.
