Regional IT Manager GCC Region

As our presence across the Middle East continues to grow, we are looking for a Regional IT Manager to lead End User Services across the GCC a pivotal leadership role combining operational ownership, hands-on technical expertise and stakeholder influence.

Based in Riyadh, this role will establish and lead the regional IT support hub, ensuring Foster + Partners employees across the Middle East experience consistent, high-quality service aligned to our global Digital Workplace standards.

This is not a purely managerial role. It's for someone who thrives balancing strategy and service excellence with hands-on delivery someone who leads from the front.

The opportunity

As Regional IT Manager, you will take ownership of End User Services across the GCC region driving service consistency, performance and user experience across multiple offices.

You'll act as the senior escalation point for complex support queries, manage regional service performance, and work closely with London-based Enterprise IT teams to ensure alignment with global standards and ITSM processes.

You'll also lead and mentor regional IT team members, building capability, embedding accountability and fostering a culture of service excellence.

This is a visible, high-impact role operating at the intersection of people, process and technology ensuring that design teams can focus on delivering world-class architecture without interruption.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning and delivering consistent End User Services across Middle East offices, aligned to global SLAs and ITSM standards
  • Establishing Riyadh as the regional support hub, coordinating coverage, workload and prioritisation
  • Providing hands-on 1st/2nd line desk-side and remote support, including VIP support where required
  • Managing incidents, escalations and major service issues with calm leadership
  • Driving ITSM compliance and disciplined ticket management (incident, request, change, problem, knowledge and asset processes)
  • Using service performance data to identify trends and drive measurable improvement
  • Leading regional onboarding, moves and changes, ensuring seamless IT readiness
  • Managing asset lifecycle, CMDB accuracy, hardware refreshes and secure disposal
  • Coordinating endpoint provisioning and deployment (Windows/macOS, mobile devices, peripherals) aligned to global security baselines
  • Collaborating with procurement and local vendors to ensure efficient, policy-compliant supply and support
  • Building trusted relationships with regional leadership and key user groups
  • Supporting infrastructure installations and maintenance as required
  • Championing continuous service improvement and user experience optimisation

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical foundations with confident regional leadership.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience leading End User / Regional IT support in a multi-site environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 and modern workplace technologies
  • Practical experience with endpoint provisioning (e.g. Intune/Autopilot) and device lifecycle management
  • Solid 2nd line troubleshooting across hardware, OS, collaboration platforms and AV meeting room environments
  • Strong understanding of ITSM processes and the ability to run a disciplined, data-driven support function
  • Experience managing asset inventories and lifecycle workflows
  • Confidence supporting senior stakeholders and VIP users
  • Working knowledge of server/storage infrastructure and networking fundamentals (for triage and coordination with infrastructure teams)
  • Demonstrable people management or strong acting-lead experience
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Resilience and composure in high-pressure situations

Desirable:

  • ITIL qualification
  • Experience supporting AEC/design engineering environments (Autodesk, Adobe, Rhino, Bluebeam, etc.)
  • Exposure to Digital Experience Monitoring / proactive analytics tooling
  • Experience supporting office openings or regional expansions
