The Regional Legal Manager role supports business operations across the ASEAN region by providing legal advice on a wide range of corporate, contractual, compliance, and risk matters. Working within a hybrid arrangement, the position collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and regional affiliates to support day-to-day legal matters and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and support to regional affiliates in line with business needs and objectives
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents
Identify and assess legal and contractual risks in projects and transactions, and propose mitigation strategies
Support contract negotiations and business transactions
Partner with internal stakeholders to provide guidance on legal and compliance matters
Monitor ongoing legal risks and issues, and recommend appropriate actions
Support dispute management and legal proceedings where required
Assist in developing and improving contract management and risk control processes
Participate in regional legal initiatives, including training, policy updates, and template standardisation
Liaise with external counsel and cross-functional teams as needed
Requirements
Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years experience in corporate legal work, preferably within construction, engineering, or project-based industries
Strong knowledge of construction law and contracts
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
Familiarity with Southeast Asia markets will be advantageous
