Role Description

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting Middle East product launches while managing essential procurement coordination and regional sales relationships.

They will serve as a key liaison between our New Zealand leadership team and production partners, distributors, and retail outlets across the GCC.

This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive professional with strong FMCG sales experience, procurement knowledge, and an established network in regional retail and foodservice channels.

Key Responsibilities

Product Launch Support

- Coordinate the rollout of new meat and honey products across Middle Eastern markets.

- Align launch timelines, regulatory documents, and logistics with NZ-based team and regional partners.

- Support market activation activities such as sampling events, chef collaborations, and retail demonstrations.

Procurement Coordination

- Support procurement workflows between NZ production teams and Middle East buyers.

- Track order cycles, inventory forecasts, product specifications, and quality documentation.

- Ensure compliance with import regulations, certifications, and retailer requirements.

- Help troubleshoot supply-chain or fulfilment issues to minimise disruption.

FMCG Sales & Business Development

- Leverage existing retail, distribution, and foodservice networks to accelerate market penetration.

- Identify new sales opportunities and support negotiations with key accounts.

- Drive early traction for new product listings through relationship-building and follow-through.

- Provide sales performance reports, pricing insights, and competitor analysis to leadership.

Distributor & Retail Partner Liaison

- Act as the primary point of contact for distributors and retail buyers in the region.

- Support onboarding processes, product submissions, price lists, and compliance files.

- Ensure consistency between NZ-based leadership objectives and on-the-ground execution.

Reporting & Coordination

- Maintain detailed project trackers for product launches, procurement cycles, and sales pipeline activity.

- Liaise with NZ leadership to ensure alignment on priorities and progress.

- Prepare updates summarising sales results, market feedback, and risk areas.

Skills & Experience Required

- 47 years experience in FMCG sales, procurement, or supply chain, ideally in food or premium products.

- Existing UAE/GCC network of distributors, retailers, or foodservice buyers - essential for making a fast start.

- Proven track record in managing product launches or key account development.

- Strong understanding of regional procurement processes, logistics, and import requirements.

- Excellent communication skills for cross-cultural liaison with NZ-based teams.

- Highly organised with strong project and relationship management capabilities.

- Fluent English and Arabic required.
