Job Description

Position Overview

EDECS is currently looking for RegionalTotal Rewards Lead to act as the chief architect of our compensation and benefits framework in the region.

In this senior individual contributor role, you will hold broad ownership over regional reward strategies. You will serve as a vital partner to our HR Director, Group Compensation & Benefits, and Regional Managing Directors—harmonizing practices across all of EDECS corporate branches and elevating our talent value proposition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regional Policy Creation & Standardization: Design, draft, and implement comprehensive regional compensation and benefits policies tailored to EDECS diverse operational footprints, establishing clear governance, standardization, and guidelines across all countries.
  • Cross-Branch Compensation Governance: Oversee, align, and manage competitive compensation practices, allowances, and structures across all EDECS branches, including Egypt, KSA (Saudi Arabia), UAE, Oman, and Tanzania.
  • Global Benefits Stewardship: Take complete ownership of the employee benefits strategy and administration across all countries of operation, ensuring programs are optimized, equitable, and highly competitive in their respective markets.
  • Strategic Partnership & Advisory: Act as a trusted consultant to the HR Director and Regional Managing Directors on salary offers, promotions, and organizational design, balancing regional business requirements with group principles.
  • Salary Architecture & Market Competitiveness: Evolve and maintain dynamic, market-aligned salary structures and grading frameworks. Leverage local market intelligence and job architecture methodologies to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Management: Partner with Country HR Leads, Legal, and Finance to monitor regional legislative changes, ensuring reward policies strictly comply with local labor laws, tax codes, and compliance protocols.
  • Data-Driven Program Evolution: Harness analytical tools to turn raw payroll and market data into actionable insights, helping EDECS build a resilient, inflation-proof, and modern Total Rewards strategy.
  • Total Rewards Project Leadership: Champion and project-manage global Total Rewards initiatives, such as high-inflation adjustments, pay-equity audits, or incentive program rollouts.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • The Experience: You bring a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience specializing in compensation and benefits, with a strong background in managing reward programs across Middle East & Africa or multi-country structures.
  • Academic Foundation: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical expertise).
  • Geographical Knowledge: Direct exposure to compensation-related regulatory frameworks, labor markets, and compliance landscapes within the Middle East and East Africa regions.
  • Linguistic Capability: Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and verbal) to effectively consult and collaborate with diverse local teams and regional executives.
  • Analytical Mastery: Exceptional analytical and Excel capabilities, with the ability to translate complex data sets into simple, persuasive business recommendations.
  • Influence & Autonomy: Proven capability to operate independently with high accountability in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, guiding senior business leaders through complex compensation decisions with sound judgment and diplomacy.
