Job Description
The Occupational Medicine Registrar is responsible for supporting and overseeing the delivery of safe, highquality occupational health services across Bupa Arabia , Bupa care connect and its associated centers (Home health care, Corporate Health Centers and Integrated Care Centers) with all occupational health related activities/assessments. This role focuses on the prevention of workrelated illness and injury, the development and implementation of occupational health programs, and the promotion of employee wellbeing in diverse workplace environments. The Registrar will design and standardize assigned different occupational health programs and all of their components. In addition, will provide clinical supervision and oversight to healthcare providers working in Corporate Health Centers (CHC) and will also assist with clinical reporting and data analysis, contributing to the preparation of medical and occupational health reports shared with clients, and offering evidencebased recommendations to support continuous improvement in employee health, safety, and organizational wellbeing.
Occupaional health and preventive medicine:
- Identify occupational health risks related all occupational workplaces
- Develop, implement and oversee strategies to prevent work related illness and injuries across Bupa Arabia , Bupa care connect and its associated centers (Home health care, Corporate Health Centers and Integrated Care Centers)
- Support health surveilance programs and exposure monitoring for high risk employees across all functions: Bupa Arabia , Bupa care connect and its associated centers (Home health care, Corporate Health Centers and Integrated Care Centers).
- Contirbute to vaccination, screening and preventative health initiatives aligend with occupational risks across all functions within Bupa Arabia and BCC
- Design and standardize pre-emplpyement, periodic and fitness for duty medical assessments based on the type of bussiness (corporate vs industrial ) across Bupa Arabia , Bupa care connect and its associated centers (Home health care, Corporate Health Centers and Integrated Care Centers)
- Support in review complex or borderline fittness for work cases and provide evidence based recommendations when needed.
Corporate Health Center (CHC) health provider supervision and oversite of all occupational health:
- Provide medical supervision and oversight of CHC health providers operating under Bupa Careconnect.
- Ensure appropriate clinical care, safe practice, and adherence to approved scope of practive and privileging.
- Provide clinical guidance, case discussions and escalation
- Monitor clinic readiness, staffing interview and selection, staffing coverage, emergency preparedness, and availability of essential medical equipment and supplies.
- Education & Professional Development : Support orientation, training, and ongoing education for onsite clinic staff. Participate in occupational medicine education activities and case reviews.
Clinical Governance, Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure clinical services comply with MOH, CBAHI, and internal Bupa CareConnect governance frameworks.
- Participate in clinical audits, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support development, implementation, and review of occupational health policies, SOPs, and clinical guidelines.
- Contribute to accreditation readiness and regulatory inspections related to onsite clinics (if applicable)
Reporting, Data & Client Advisory Support:
- Assist in generating medical and occupational health reports to be shared with clients.
- Analyze clinical and occupational health data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide evidence-based recommendations to clients aimed at improving employee health outcomes, safety, and productivity
- Support reporting on key indicators such as utilization, fitness-for-work outcomes, incidents, and absenteeism.
Multidisciplinary Collaboratio
- Work closely with HR, operations, and client representatives.
- Participate in occupational risk assessments and contribute medical input to risk mitigation strategies.
Skills
- 4 years clinical experience in occupational medicine post certification
- MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
- Valid SCFHS license as Occupaitonal Medicine Registrar
- Strong knowledge of occupational medicine principles and workplace health risks.
- Ability to supervise and support multidisciplinary clinical teams. Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills. Strong reporting, documentation, and engagement skills High standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and governance.
