About the Job
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious person to manage our existing relationships with our regional (Asia) clients who trade commodity futures on the Gulf Mercantile Exchange. The prospective candidate will also be tasked with developing new clients, promote all products and services, and represent GME at regional conferences and events.
The candidate will work closely with the sales and marketing team in Dubai and contribute to new products development and help execute strategic aims of the Exchange. Furthermore, as the Exchange and its products offering grows the candidate will be expected to take the lead in promoting new commodity futures to new clients. They will also work closely with our major shareholder, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, on seeking new clients who need regional risk management products found on both Exchanges and on identifying new opportunities and product's needs.
Duties
Manage existing relationships with regional oil companies, refiners and merchant traders.
Seek new clients through multiple avenues such as attending regional energy conferences, cold calling, and using social media.
Work closely with Dubai head office on their newer product offerings when they arrive and to support them in the Singapore trading community.
Must be willing to undertake regional (Asia) travel
Skills and Experience required
Experience working within the commodity and financial markets.
Knowledge of financial derivatives and risk management techniques an advantage.
At least 5 years Relationship management and Sales experience.
Trading experiences a plus.
Familiarity with CRM or Salesforce.
Academic Background
Fluent in English and Mandarin.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or a scientific discipline.
Computer programming skills an advantage.
