Our client is an established international banking group with a growing presence in the UAE. Operating through a DIFC‑based branch, the business focuses on corporate banking, trade finance, and cross‑border transactions, servicing clients across the GCC, Asia, and Africa.
Job Description
As a Relationship Manager, you will play a central role in originating and managing corporate client relationships, with a strong focus on trade finance and structured lending solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing relationships with corporate clients, including multinational and trade‑focused businesses
- Marketing and cross‑selling a range of corporate banking products, with a core focus on trade finance
- Structuring lending facilities in line with the bank's risk appetite
- Supporting credit discussions and contributing to building a profitable risk asset portfolio
- Monitoring client activity, utilisation of facilities, and identifying cross‑sell opportunities
- Conducting KYC, due diligence, and maintaining regulatory compliance standards
- Liaising with internal stakeholders across treasury, credit, and international teams to support deal execution
- Actively networking and generating new business opportunities through market engagement
- Keeping abreast of market trends and competitor activity
The Successful Applicant
- Experience within corporate banking / relationship management, ideally with exposure to international trade clients
- Strong knowledge of trade finance products and structures
- Understanding of credit processes, structuring, and risk assessment
- Proven ability to build and manage client relationships and originate business
- Strong communication, presentation, and client‑facing skills
- A proactive, self‑starter mindset with the ability to work independently in a lean team environment
- Experience covering clients across GCC, Asia, or Africa is advantageous
- Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is a plus
- Degree‑educated; relevant trade finance or credit qualifications are beneficial
