Lead the ISTP Reliability & Operational Performance in optimizing operational efficiency and reliability by providing effective methodologies and overseeing various operational projects related to independent sewage treatment plants. The jobholder is responsible for executing all work and activities related to the reliability program and methodologies and providing necessary technical support related to sewage treatment and strategic reservoirs while ensuring compliance with local content regulations.
Generic Accountabilities:
• Act as a role model and champion adherence to organizational values and ethics by employees within the Contracts Management and Operations division, to ensure the establishment of a value-driven culture.
• Ensure effective collaboration with internal stakeholders in all related divisional matters, to co-deliver defined key performance indicators (KPIs) in line with business plans and to support the achievement of operational excellence.
• Oversee the development of policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls covering all functional areas of the Contracts Management and Operations division and lead their proper implementation so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service consistently.
• Manage change within the Contracts Management, Reliability and Local Content Division by continuously improving systems and practices in line with leading practices and changes in the business environment.
• Direct the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making. • Adhere to the company's health, safety, environmental and security policies at all times and immediately report violations of these policies to company health, safety & environment representatives
• adhere to & support ISO processes, certification renewal & ensure areas of responsibility are in constant compliance.
• monitor sewage treatment plant reliability and performance of the project companies on an on-going basis.
• develop, monitor and report the key performance indicators (KPI's) relate to sewage treatment plant performance review and operational improvement.
Job Specific Accountabilities
• Design Operations Excellence and Reliability framework that incorporates best-practices, methodologies, techniques and principles that align with company overall strategy and project companies under operation.
• Oversee the development of division policies and procedures in order to ensure all relevant requirements are fulfilled to deliver high-quality services.
• Lead the development of key performance indicators for operational efficiency and reliability of projects based on agreed standards and contractual requirements.
• Review the operational efficiency and reliability reports to monitor the efficiency and reliability of projects and identify areas of improvement that are in line with company vision to secure water in a sustainable manner.
• Conduct periodic audits and communicate with the operating companies to identify areas of improvement to ensure that performance expectations are met or exceeded.
• Stay abreast of the regulations and standards applicable to water management projects to ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements.
• Review the contract documents for projects to ensure that they comply with company contract standards.
• Identify and prioritize risks, considerations for risk management in contractual agreements and review necessary reports to ensure reporting and escalation while identifying risk mitigation measures.
• Review the progress reports prepared by project operators for water projects agreements and contracts to verify any contractual deviations and prepare analyses and observations.
• Review technical and engineering reports related to water projects to ensure professional supervision. This includes reviewing technical and engineering reports to ensure that they are accurate, complete, and consistent with company standards.
• Conduct and Oversee RCA , manage disputes/claims related to ISTP projects, assess their validity and conduct the necessary reviews to ensure settlement.
• Provide technical sound advices and guidance on sewage treatment plant operational, as needed and as requested by various stakeholders, including company internal business lines, MEWA , SWA and MAEE. Ensure that all information requests from MEWA and SWA regarding sewage treatment plant performance are accurate and met on a timely basis.
• Stay abreast of sewage treatment megatrends and sewage treatment technology developments as they relate to plant performance management.
• Prepare written technical and business reports on matters related to reliability and sewage treatment plant operation excellence.
• Periodic review of procedures, policies and requirements of contracts, and work on continuous improvement, to benefit the sector through increased productivity and reduce costs.
• Ensure appropriate testing and assessment are conducted on corrective actions implementation to ensure issues are addressed effectively and in a timely manner.
• Report progress of corrective actions and ensure adequate and efficient controls are in place to mitigate associated risks
• Perform any other duties related to work as requested.
• Conduct reliability and operational excellence training and awareness to the employees in order to cultivate reliability mindset and enhance long term decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualification:
• Bachelor's degree in civil or chemical or mechanical engineering, sewage treatment, techno-commercial administration or any other related field
• Master's degree is preferable Minimum Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in Reliability and Operational Excellence Management or Operation & Maintenance any other related field
