R&D Executive- Packaging:
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Global Alignment
- Act as the primary liaison between the Global R&D Packaging team and local manufacturing operations.
- Execute global packaging initiatives while identifying and proposing locally driven innovations aligned with market needs.
- Ensure all packaging developments comply with global technical standards and brand requirements.
Packaging Development & Innovation
- Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of new packaging solutions.
- Drive innovation in materials, structures, and sustainability initiatives.
- Manage packaging validation processes including trials, testing, and commercialization.
Cost Optimization
- Identify and lead cost-reduction initiatives through material re-engineering, design optimization, and specification improvements.
- Balance cost efficiency with product protection, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
Supplier Development & Localization
- Lead technical qualification and development of packaging suppliers.
- Identify and validate local vendors capable of meeting global packaging specifications.
- Strengthen supplier capabilities to support localization and supply chain resilience.
Regional Technical Support
- Provide technical packaging expertise to manufacturing sites and regional markets sourcing from Egyptian production hubs.
- Support troubleshooting, performance improvement, and packaging optimization across markets.
Project Management
- Manage project portfolios, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration with procurement, quality, manufacturing, and marketing.
- Ensure effective knowledge transfer between global and local teams.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Extensive experience in packaging development and R&D.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and supplier qualification.
- Proven experience in cost optimization and packaging innovation.
- Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
