Research Associate

The Social and Economic Survey Research Institute (SESRI) is a distinguished and highly respected institution, recognized both academically and nationally. Since its inception, SESRI has made substantial empirical contributions to the social sciences and to key governmental stakeholders, supporting the nation's commitment to evidence-based policymaking. Our research interests are interdisciplinary, encompassing both quantitative and qualitative analyses. We actively seek collaborations with other research centers within Qatar University, as well as with regional and international partners.

Job Summary

This position will contribute to SESRI's ongoing survey research activities, supporting the Institute's mission to advance social and economic knowledge through high-quality empirical research.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the development, design, and implementation of national surveys in Qatar and comparative studies across the GCC region.

• Conduct data analysis and interpret survey results.

• Present survey findings at local and international conferences, as well as to public and private sector audiences.

• Co-author papers, articles, and research reports based on SESRI's survey findings.

• Teach seminars in collaboration with SESRI staff and faculty.

• Collaborate on developing new research projects and preparing grant proposals.

• Engage actively in the intellectual and academic life of the Institute and the University.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.
