The Social and Economic Survey Research Institute (SESRI), with a research and an educational mission, has been established at Qatar University to conduct high-quality survey research of current and future social and economic issues. Duties & Responsibilities

Job Summary

This position supports SESRI faculty and researchers in the successful implementation of research projects through effective project management. The Research Project Manager works closely with Principal Investigators (PIs) and SESRI staff to ensure timely delivery and high-quality execution of projects. The role also involves coordinating across SESRI units-including Policy, Survey Operations, and Administration-to ensure smooth project execution from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in developing the center's research plans and targets.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project team members, research operations, administration, leadership, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement project management processes, including project planning, defining milestones and timelines, tracking progress, and reporting on deliverables.
  • Support project teams in quality control processes, including monitoring data collection activities.
  • Organize and lead project meetings, including preparing agendas and documenting meeting minutes.
  • Identify project issues, troubleshoot challenges, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at regional and international levels.
  • Anticipate and resolve project timeline and resource conflicts.
  • Monitor ongoing work to ensure compliance with established procedures and specifications.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports.
  • Develop presentations related to the center's research projects, as required.
  • Contribute to writing research papers, reports, and articles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
